Netflix’s Swap Shop first launched in 2021 and now the series is back for a brand new season in 2022. Victoria and Larry, Scott and Dale and the rest of the show’s cast are finding diamonds in the rough all over Tenessee all in a bid to make a hefty profit.
While many Swap Shop fans will be pleased with the return of the Netflix series, there may be some sadness among the cast members as Amber Davis passed away before the show came out. So, let’s find out more about her death.

Richard Davis and Garin Dickerson have been cast members on Netflix’s Swap Shop since the show first premiered in 2021.
Richard and Garin run Nirvana Comics in Knoxville, Tenessee.
While Richard describes himself as the business mind behind the shop, he says Garin is the heart of the company.
Richard and Garin both introduce viewers to Nirvana Comics but Richard’s late wife, Amber, appears in episode 4, too, and says that she’s also an owner of Nirvana Comics.
When Garin wants to go and buy a Richard said: “Amber’s my wife, she keeps me sane and keeps me from spending too much money buying collections.”
Amber adds: “I hold the cheque book, stop buying things.“
Was there a death in the Swap Shop cast?
Yes, Richard’s wife, Amber Davis, sadly passed away before Swap Shop season 1 came out on Netflix.
As per Nirvana Comics Knoxville’s Instagram page, she went into hospital in December 2020 to have a kidney transplant.
A post from December 5th reads: “Hey folks, Amber probably won’t be around the shop for a couple of weeks. She just got the call that UT has a kidney for her! Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she goes into surgery tonight.“
Garin Dickerson takes to IG to remember Amber
Remembering his friend on her birthday, Garin Dickerson took to Instagram on October 15th, 2021.
Garin wrote Happy Birthday to Amber and added: “This clip in the Swap Shop trailer really hit when it dropped this week. Today is Amber’s birthday. Seeing her alive and well- in the shop she loved, dice in hand for D&D, her little white Mina dog by her side- brought so many emotions…“
